Jaco Le Roux and Mariehette Le Roux bought the business from the previous owners in February 2009 and started with business in March 2009. The owners hired new personnel and started to manage the business themselves. As the business started to get bigger the personnel also grew, at first we had 10 staff members and currently we have about 20 people on our payroll.
We have 2 forklifts in the yard to move our stock and help load the delivery trucks as well as customers who come and load the bricks/cement themselves. We also have a Front End Loader that load the sand, stone and gravel on our own 6 cube tipper that does deliveries to our customers. We also have 2 trucks the that can load 6000 bricks at a time that we use to do deliveries. Our other deliveries are done by other trucks from our transport company, Jaco Le Roux Transport, and they deliver 12 000 bricks at a time. The trucks have either a moffet with a crab or a crane to off load the bricks. We do deliveries in and around Bloemfontein, the Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and North West. Because we use our own trucks we can give the best prices on transport.
Our clients are the public that buy for their smaller building projects and then we have contractors that buy for bigger projects.
Once a month we do pressure tests on our clay bricks to determine the MPS’s of the bricks and to make sure we sell bricks of only the best quality to our clients
